I’ve been off the lecture circuit for awhile, but I’m glad to get back on the road this week.
This week, I’m headed to the University of Oklahoma to discuss my research and pedagogy.
And if you’re in the neighborhood on Thursday evening, come check out my public lecture, “Scriptural Roots: How Alex Haley Read ‘America Great Again.'” We’ll take a trip down the nation’s memory lane to better learn how race and cultural texts have worked not only in the Post-Civil Rights Era, but also in the era of “Fake News.”
Special thanks to the Department of African & African American Studies and the Department of Religious Studies for this exciting collaboration!
