The REL Strategy Group is network of unit leaders in US religious studies programs who are working together to build a more resilient 21st century field. We meet regularly, exchange notes, share successes and concerns from the trenches, and support each other as way of nimbly addressing challenges in higher education.

In collaboration with the American Acadmey of Religion’s Academic Relations Committee, I manage the REL Toolbox, a nuts and bolts resource for unit leaders who want to be in the know. Created by Dr. Russell McCutcheon (University of Alabama), the Rel Toolbox includes keyword entries, a glossary, primers on leadership roles, bibliogrpahy, and a tracker of mergers, closers, and cuts.
