Broadcast Seeding is up with David Dault

Earlier this month, we had the last gathering of Off-Script: Conversations on Scriptures, Scholarship, and Our Subfield for Spring 2026.

I’m very pleased to bring you a recording of David Dault’s book talk on his latest, The Accessorized Bible (Oxford University Press 2026). You can listen to it on our podcast, Broadcast Seeding.

Dault’s book does a lot of great things. I appreciate his discussion of materiality, affect, and scriptural reasoning in relation to the subfield. Dault does a great job bringing out these currents in a way that brings people up to speed so that they can engage in the debate of their role in the critical comparative study of scriptures.

For those grad students doing work in this area, I think this is an important work for your studies. And that’s the first clue about what’s coming in the fall!
