Great to be back in the studio for this recent episode of Scriptures Everywhere, the podcast of the Institute for Signifying Scriptures. Their Fall 2026 season has been on the theme, Election.
I kicked things off earlier this fall as guest host of an episode on Chosen-Choseness. It was fun to kick it either way friend of the blog, Nicholaus Pumphrey (Baker University), and Arthur Carter (Philips Theological Seminary). We took up R.S. Sugirtharajah’s piece, “Known Knowns and Unknown Unknowns: Scriptures and Scriptural Interpretations,” to help us think about what precisely are elections.
Today, I joined Arthur and Jacqueline Hidalgo (University of San Diego) for a postgame discussion of the midterms. That’ll drop soon.
