Former production assistant Maya Clare Aphornsuvan developed a comedy video series for an independent study under the direction of Dr. Richard Newton. She was tasked with reading Dr. Brad Stoddard and Dr. Craig Martin’s edited volume, Stereotyping Religion: Critiquing Cliches (Bloomsbury 2017).
Dissatisfied with how her favorite late night hosts have covered religion, Maya used her religious studies skills to find the funny and raise the level of discourse one episode at a time.
