Abstract
This short essay responds to Jean-Pierre Ruiz’s Revelation in the Vernacular (Fordham 2021), thinking about the discourse of revelation in light of colonial encounters. It also takes seriously the discourse of doing theology latinamente and disruptive cartography, by signifying on the concept of “aprovechar(se)” as a way of considering the politics of revelation.
